16th December 1971 - Bangladesh Victory Day
The Bangladesh Liberation War or Muktijuddho was an armed conflict
pitting West Pakistan against EastPakistan (two halves of one country)
and India, that resulted in the secession of East Pakistan as the independent nation of Bangladesh.
The whole nation today celebrates the anniversary of its glorious Victory Day
to uphold the spirit of liberation, secularism and democracy as opposed
to autocracy, theocracy and/or, any closed system that hinder peoples
progress.
Warmest greetings on occasion of
the Victory Day of Bangladesh by BCII. As a token of homage to the
three million martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Liberation
War and to createawareness among the people.

What is Mothers Day 2012?
Mother's Day 2012 is observed on the second Sunday of May and celebrates the important roles that mothers serve in society. Anna Jarvis of West Virginia started the holiday in 1908 to pay tribute to mothers, but it wasn't until 1914 that President Woodrow Wilson made the holiday official by signing it into law.
Mother's Day 2012 will be one of the most commercialized in the Bangladesh, and sales for gifts peak during the days preceding Mother's Day. It is common for children to buy gifts, flowers, and cards for their mothers on Mother's Day.
